Challenge to Change

100	Elder Scott challenged us to do more Family History and Temple work.  What was the blessing for teens if they do this? (They could eliminate the influence of the adversary.)
200	On Sunday Morning Pres. Monson challenged us to take inventory of our lives. What are we supposed to look for?  (Blessings Large and Small)
300	Elder Eyring – I challenge you to go ‘for the Lord’ to someone, despite any fear you might have to extend _____ & _____.  And what does he promise?  (Love & Forgiveness.)  (Promise = you will feel the love of the Savior for that person and for His love for you.   If you do this often enough and long enough you will feel a change in your very nature to be more like Christ.)
400	Uchdorf – what was one of the biggest regrets that people said they had as they prepared to die?  What should we do to avoid feeling this way at the end of our life?  (They didn’t spend more time with their family and/or could have spent more time being happy.)
500	Bednar-- “Do you and I still possess weapons of our rebellion?  If so…”  What do we need to do?  (Repent.  Now.)
600	What was the “show stopper” talk of this conference (In other words – it hit hard, will make people uncomfortable and incite debate, but was very powerful and totally necessary for our times.) (I believe this was by Elder Oakes about children, but answers could vary.  Encourage discussion!)

300	Elder Anderson (?)-- Choosing to distance ourselves from the church is like what?  (Leaving the storm cellar just as the tornado comes into view.)
400	Elder Nash took a hike up a steep, narrow, dangerous mountain peak called Wine-a- peach-u (sp?).  There are cables bolted into the mountainside along the route so hikers can hang on.  Then he said there is something in the gospel that is like those cables.  What principle is it?  (Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ)
500	Whiting – at the Hawaii temple, he toured the temple to review the progress and quality.  There were two things he spoke about that were unsatisfactory in the temple.  What were the 2 things and then what did he liken these things to in our life? (Grit on the walls and a crooked square of stained glass. ) (We need to eliminate the flaws and imperfections in our life – no matter how small)
600	Elder Nash said Faith and reason are like _____? (2 wings of an aircraft.  Both are essential to maintain flight.  If reason seems to contradict faith, pause.  Do not discard faith anymore than you would discard one of the wings on an aircraft.  )

100	Elder Gay- What did he buy with his allowance when he was 11.  Then what problem did he have when he turned 12.  What was the concept he was illustrating?  ( Movie Ticket & 5 candy bars)  (The ticket cost more and he could only by 3 candy bars.) (The worth of Integrity)
200	Monson - What happened to the Jumbotron?  How did it get fixed?  (Broken right before the big performance) (All the youth knelt down and prayed. Then the technician said it was luck.)
300	Elder Packer told a story about being in a boat in a storm, and something went wrong so they couldn’t make it to shore safely.  What went wrong, and What was he trying to Illustrate.  BONUS: What song tied in with this and he said he loved?  500 extra points if your team sings it.  (The guys who were supposed to have the light were not there.  Brightly beams our Fathers Mercy hymn # 335.)
400	Elder Echo Hawk told of a scary experience when he was a young man.  He told about a really mean military sergeant who was swearing and insulting each new person as he came to them.  What happened when he got to Elder Echo Hawk? How did Elder echo hawk show courage?  What were the results.  What can we learn from this story?  (Dumped out the contents of his duffle bag, rifled through it and picked up his Book of Mormon, then quietly asked him if he was a Mormon and if he believed in the book.) (He shouted, Yes Sir. In response.)  (The mean guy quietly walked past and did not try to humiliate him.)  (The rest of the answers will vary)
500	Tell your favorite story and how it related to a gospel concept. (Answers will vary.  More than one person can share.)
600	Which two speakers told the same story about Peter and the other apostles going back to fishing after Christ’s death, and Christ’s questions and instructions when he spoke with them on the shore. (Holland and Hales)

100	Sister Dibb told a story about a t-shirt that she saw on a young girl at the grocery store.  Based off that shirt, she came up with her own T-shirt Slogan.  It said “I’m a Mormon…” Then she had three phrases following.  What were the three phrases?  (I know it!  I live it! I love it!)
200	Elder Cook said there are 2 challenges that lessen commitment and contributes to the moral decline of our day.  There were actually 5 that he grouped into 2 categories. So just try to get at least one from each of the two areas.   (1. Unkindness, violence and domestic abuse 2. Sexual immorality and impure thoughts.)
300	What did Elder Clarke list on that first card he filled out when his teacher asked him to write what he had thought about during the sacrament that day.  What did he leave off the list ?   (basket ball game and the date from the night before.) (Christ.)

500	Elder Perry listed 5 things that strengthen family cultures.  ( 1. Pray in earnest that Heavenly Father will help them love, understand and guide their children.  2.  Hold FHE scriptures and eat together as often as possible 3. Use the church support network (teachers, and presidencies)   4.  Share their testimonies often  5.  Organize families with clear rules, expectations, wholesome traditions and economics.)
600	Elder Clarke talked about the sacrament.  He listed 5 principles that can bless our lives as we partake of the sacrament. Name a few of them.   (1. Have a feeling of gratitude to Heavenly Father for the Atonement.    2. Remember that we are renewing our baptismal covenants.    3. Feel forgiven of our sins if we have spent time before sacrament meeting repenting.   4.  We can receive inspiration to solutions to our problems during sacrament meeting.   5.   Help us be filled with the Holy Ghost)
