General Conference Jeopardy April 2011

Here is the game that we made up this time.  Much thanks to friends who contributed questions!  (I know thre are typos and spelling mishaps, but I don't have time to go fix them all.  I hope you like it anyway.)

100 Sis Stevens: A member of the 70 visited an Area in Hong Kong where the members were struggling to provide for their temporal needs. He told the bishop that the people needed to pay their tithing. The Bishop was worried about how to accomplish this. Who did he talk to first, and what happened? (Children. It worked!)



200 Gonzalez told a story about a kid who went on a mission – despite the fact that his family told him they would not be his family anymore if he went. With a sad heart, he went anyway. When it was time for him to return home, what happened? (His mom asked him to stay out longer because they were receiving so many blessings. And today he is a stake Patriarch.)



300 Quentin L. Cook spoke about the “incredible” women of the church. He told about some YW leaders who found a purse after an activity and looked inside for some identification. Bonus question for the girls: A man was going to go steal corn from his neighboor’s field and his son was posted as the look out. The man looked all around him, and didn’t see anyone. But then the boy said, Dad< ____________________ (you forgot to look up!)



Bonus question for the boys: There was a couple that argued a lot and wanted to get divorced. But Pres. Monsoon got a call at 2:00 AM and this couple wanted him to come over right then and help them. While he was there he had the inspiration to have them do what? (go witness a sealing.)
